responsibility

I have never felt the need to grow up. I have always, and still assume that its a process that just happens with time. I realized how wrong I am.If you are close to me or we speak on a regular basis, you know what is going on with myself and family.The situation we are going through has made me believe that responsibility smacks you on the face and it hurts. However i know that everything happens for a reason and although my life will suck for a few months,there is nothing in the world that could change my love and respect for my family...Not even responsibility.

2009-1=2008.Let me look back.

ITS 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously 2009 is gunna be amazing.

This years theme for me is....promise.....

not in a keeping a promise but in a meaning of anticipation. So many opportunities are to come in 09.BUT ENOUGH! let me reflect on 08 in 4 simple points. Family&Friends,Career and my Love Life,

1-Friends-

08 brought me realization of who my best friends are and who my acquaintances are.I gotta hand it to my best friend Lonn for making me a better musician and a better friend.We spent 3 years together playing drums and hanging out,there is nothing better than having a friend who can read your mind,whether its behind the drums or when you see a box of fried chicken and you want to put it on someone's desk as a joke.He is my best friend.Now i ranted about lonn and our friendship,but 08 also brought so many new faces that are so promising.

2-Family-

My family is crazy just like anyone else's.although it feels like we are separating more and more and becoming more distant,the nucleus of the family is getting stronger and im finally beginning to see the real meaning of family.The big thing this year was the arrival of my first neice.Linda Gabriella Urias was born Dec 8th 2008(exactly one year after the passing of my dads mama.)I cant wait to be a overly protective uncle.

3-Career-

I spent 3 years at citrus working on my craft.When I got there i wanted to be the best drummer ever...ever... but i noticed that the best drummers on my time weren't the best drummers ever, they were amazing musicians who played their part.I had that change of mind in 08.however my career in 08 was more in transition mode than a proactive mode and as 09 has approached me it has started to turn proactive.I cannot wait anymore to play everyday.

4-Love Life-

WOW! It was a crazy one.and if your wondering...yes i fell in love...BUT! it didnt work out.The one thing i learned about falling in love was that it is so easy to lose perspective,what matters,why it matters, and if its for good.there wasn't a better feeling than falling in love other than finally understanding the reason of love.I wish her well and she knows im sorry for being an ass.09 hopefully will give me a chance to see is im able to connect with someone i care about. maybe i can love her too.and if your reading this after you watch the movie...i miss ya.

2009  will hold promise for me. did i mention i have puppies?
